Welcome

School

Dear Friends,

Welcome to Drumrane Primary School. Our Website is intended to help you find out more about the life and work of our school.

Drumrane Primary School is a recently built school. The doors were opened to the children of the area in September 2008 with 92 pupils on roll. We now have 140 pupils on our roll and 5 classrooms. We are very proud of our lovely grounds and the setting is beautiful, shadowing under Benbradagh mountain.

The schools that amalgamated to form our new school were Dungiven, Largy and Burnfoot. We have six classrooms and children progress through the orange, purple, yellow, blue, green and red rooms. We are all working together to achieve our best!

Children are at the heart of our school. Your child’s happiness and education are of paramount importance to us. Our caring and dedicated team aim to create a learning environment which inspires everyone to reach their fullest potential and achieve the highest standards in all areas of school life. We want to help every child grow into independent and responsible people. You can be confident that the education of your child is in safe hands.

We believe that we can only achieve the best for your child if we all work together. We appreciate the great communication and support we receive from all our parents. A weekly newsletter is sent out every Thursday entitled “Drumrane Days”. My staff and I are always available to talk to you about any aspect of your child’s development.

We look forward to a happy and successful partnership and hope you and your child enjoy your association with Drumrane Primary School, we shall be trying our hardest! We welcome you into our community and hope that your child will be able to look back on their time at Drumrane with fondness and pride.

A visit to our school will give an even better appreciation of the quality of education on offer. Please feel free to make an appointment and I will welcome you personally to have a look around the school.

Yours sincerely
Alison Steen (Principal)
