The Red Room recently visited Roe Valley Leisure Centre to take part in Operation Streetwise, an educational event designed to help young people learn about health, safety, and community awareness. The pupils had the opportunity to hear from a range of organisations including Causeway Coast and Glens (CCG) Litter Smart, St John Ambulance, the PSNI, the Fire Service, and CCG Home Safety. They also learned about sun safety from Cancer Focus NI’s Be UV Aware programme, received important health information from the School Nurses, and discovered more about electrical safety from NIE and safe travel from Translink. In addition, the pupils explored environmental topics through CCG Climate Smart and learned about staying safe around bees through the CCG Bee Safe programme.
