School's Out for Summer!

29th Jun 2020

Boys and girls from the Green Room I have been very proud of each and every one of you for your resilience during lockdown, for how hard you have worked and for your progress.  I really enjoyed getting updates and photos.  This will be the last of the 'news from the Green Room' this term.

In the last few weeks the children were set the challenge of preparing a picnic for their family and doing sporting events.  There are some good action shots from the sporting events and I was pleased to see the children washing up after the picnic (my least favourite part of entertaining!).

I also got the feeling that there were a few Green Room children very excited about the re-opening of McDonalds!  My own two children loved their first visit back too!

I realise some of you, as well as all your home learning, kept up commitments to clubs you belong to through Zoom, such as Irish Dancing.  Well done for doing that and for any medals you got.

I hope, even though it was a funny old term, you still get that 'end of term' feeling and with lockdown restrictions being relaxed a lot it feels like a double celebration!

I really have missed seeing you all and was sorry I didn't get to finish the year properly with such a lovely class but I look forward to welcoming the P5s back into my class in August as Primary 6s and seeing the rest of you sitting 'next door' as the big P7s!

I wish you all a safe, fun and happy summer.
