P7 you’ll never guess what happened. Well, I sat for 1hr last night writing you a post and I had my finger hovering over the save button when my battery died 😩. As I’m sure you have guessed, because I’m writing it again, it didn’t save! So here is take 2 🎬.

Today’s post is all about PE. This term we would have been doing a 6 week circuits course so let’s give it a go at home. I have included everything you will need to complete this activity in the Home Learning section of the website.

So here’s what to do:

  • Go to the Home Learning section of the website and look through the recording sheet.
  • Using the instruction cards, familiarise yourself with each exercise and practise until you feel confident.
  • Do a baseline test on day 1. This will test your fitness before you have practised the exercises.
  • Start at the top of the page and work your way to the bottom.
  • Enter your scores in column 1.
  • Throughout the week, practise each exercise as much as you can to help improve your performance and technique.
  • Test yourself again next week and enter your scores in column 2. Did you improve? How could you improve even more next week?
  • Continue this cycle of testing 1 day a week and practising the rest for 6 weeks.

Over the 6 weeks you should see an improvement in both your fitness and exercise technique. The more you practise, the bigger improvement you will see.

When you are doing your circuits make sure you have a safe space to work out, your recording sheet, a pen/pencil, a timer and some water. Don’t worry if you can’t complete the full list of exercises, just do what you can. Your target for the following week might be to get one more exercise completed. Take a break between each exercise and get yourself a drink of water. If you are doing this outside you might need sun cream or a hat on.

I hope you enjoy this challenge.
