Friday 20th March

20th Mar 2020

Good morning my busy bees!

Let’s play a game of charades:

_ _ _ _ _ _     _ _ _ _

Clues:

  • It happens every Friday morning
  • Teachers give a little smirk as they make the announcement (forgetting they have to mark it 😳)
  • The hearts of many pupils sink as they realise they forgot to revise for it 🤦🏻‍♀️

Got it yet? Yes that’s right it’s Friday test time. That glorious time on a Friday morning where I make up ridiculous sentences just to fit in a word that you have been learning through the week 😆 I want you to continue your Friday test as normal as you have all the books you need at home. Take 5 minutes to look over your spelling list and then get someone at home to ask you them. *Note to test invigilators - ridiculous sentences are optional but they do make a somewhat boring activity (am I allowed to say that 🤔) a bit more interesting.

Once your spelling test is over it’s time for the mental maths test. As always, use the next week at the back of your tables book. **Another note to exam invigilators - answer booklets have been provided for you to mark the test. I’m so glad that the * makes the sentence that follows invisible to children 😆

Just because you aren’t surrounded by the beautifully postered walls of the red room doesn’t mean that our star system for full marks in your spelling test doesn’t apply. If you get full marks give yourself a star and as you already know 10 stars = a reward. You can negotiate this reward with your parents. You might like an hour outside, 30minutes on a computer or an extra half hour in bed in the morning 😉 in fact I might start doing a spelling test myself and hopefully in 10 weeks time I’ll get to sleep past 6:04am 🥱 yeah right like that’s going to happen 🙄

Anyway I’m going to buzzzzzz off now and let you get on with your spelling test.
